“Do not move the ancient boundary which your fathers have set.” Proverbs 22:28
God‘s word is a fence. It’s a boundary. God designed it that way to set the limits within which all who choose to live a godly lifestyle must stay.
And yet, one does not have to look very long to see how many clergy and even entire denominations have moved the ancient boundary to fit our godless culture.
As a result, multitudes in churches across the land now do what is right in their own eyes. The Biblical book of Judges is a terribly tragic history of what happens to a people – and to a nation – where everyone does what is right in their own eyes instead of what is right in God’s eyes.
You and I cannot control what clergy, church hierarchies, and the person in the pew do with God’s word. But you and I CAN control what WE do with His ancient boundary.
Listen! If no one goes with you through the small gate and along the narrow path toward the Celestial City, then go it alone. That gate is wide, and the way is broad that leads to eternal damnation – and there are many clergy and laity who travel it.
