Did you know the Bible actually says, “There is no God”? In fact, it says it TWICE, just to make the point. You’ll find it in Psalm 14:1 and Psalm 53:1.
Go ahead, look it up.
Ok, I’ll save you the trouble. Here’s the context of each verse: “The fool has said in his heart, ‘There is no God.’”
Yes. Context is everything. Beware of ANYONE – clergy, teachers, politicians, ‘missionaries’ who knock on our doors . . . be alert to anyone who takes God’s word out of context. You might want to memorize this maxim: “A text taken out of context is a pretext to teach error.”
Our safety from spiritual deception is inflexibly rooted in knowing God’s word. If you have not made a habit of reading God‘s word every day, you might think about doing so.
There is no shortcut to protecting yourself and those you love from liars and thieves who want to steal your soul.
